I created Document Elf to solve problems that I encountered when working on cases. I have been representing injured people on contingent fees for more than 40 years. Before I graduated from law school, our office used K-Pro desktop computers. My first-word processing program was Enable. In 1979 when I started law school we had a Lexis console and free access as law students. Things have changed.
My background as a contingent fee personal injury attorney has always emphasized efficiency over time. I get paid the same if it takes me 10 hours or 1000 hours to resolve a case. I am always looking for the most efficient way to get the work done.
I created Document Elf for Solo and Small Firm litigators that need an affordable, efficient tool to review analyze and annotate litigation documents. I knew that Document Elf must be easy to use, what we now call intuitive because busy litigators don’t want to spend time reading instruction manuals.
